In the primary years, we strive to develop an intrinsic love of learning where subject matter is taught using diverse teaching styles and approaches as well as staying current with teaching pedagogies and methodologies. Not only are resources pulled from a broad spectrum of teaching support platforms, but our teachers are trained to diversify and adapt the teaching resources and approach to keep the content interesting and relatable in order to foster a thirst for knowledge.
Experiential learning and environmental exploration, as well as hands-on active learning and engagement with topics and core content are encouraged from as early as key stage. Students are presented with opportunities to work in teams, to build confidence through group discussion, role play and presentation, as well as discovering the world out there through carefully planned and organised excursions and residential trips.

Key Stage 1
Year 1 & 2
Key Stage 1 is a crucial stage where strong learning foundations are formed and curiosity is encouraged. Through a thematic, hands-on approach, students explore ideas through meaningful experiences that support creativity, independence and confident growth both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Stage 2
Years 3 - 6
Key Stage 2 builds on the strong foundations established in earlier years, guiding students to broaden their understanding and perspectives. Through a thematic approach, students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while connecting subjects and experiences to the world around them.
